ICPSH 2024
3rd International Conference on Politics, Social Sciences & Humanities (ICPSH) 2024
Faculty of Social & Political Sciences, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman
Theme: “Enhancing Collaborative Governance for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Challenges and Opportunities”
BACKGROUND
In 2024, we are experiencing a significant period of transformation characterized by powerful global forces reshaping our lives and operations. The emergence of economies like China, India, and other nations in the global south; the swift expansion of digital technologies; the escalating challenges of globalization; and the lasting effects of the global pandemic have all left their mark on global society. At the same time, the reemergence of old international rivalries, the disruption of traditional alliances, and the rise of new powers are altering the international order of the 21st century, as well as the methods and analytical tools scholars use to interpret it.
While power dynamics shift, non-traditional challenges are also becoming more prominent: persistent conflicts in Africa and the Middle East, global migration, environmental crises, and the looming threat of transnational terrorism are critical issues that must be considered in any future projections. The Fourth Industrial Revolution has profoundly impacted all aspects of society, and global society must brace itself for the core changes these developments bring. These and other global trends present significant new opportunities for nations, industries, businesses, and individuals who can adapt—yet the risks for those who fail to keep pace have also increased dramatically.
We invite you to participate in the 3rd International Conference on Politics, Social Sciences & Humanities (ICPSH) 2024 for an engaging and enriching exchange of ideas! Following two successful conferences, we are excited to reconvene scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students worldwide. This year’s conference will emphasize the crucial role of collaborative governance in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), providing innovative perspectives on forthcoming challenges and opportunities.
